Value of this 1908 Weissach SC?

Sorry. 1980. If this car is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition what would you say its worth? I know there generally isn't a price premium for Weissach editions but I'm a fan of the color and the wider look.

Album here.

it's definitely pretty.

excellent condition, low mileage, i'd say it's probably a $23k car.

Forgot the mileage. 75,000 miles. Two owner. Most recent owner has had it for the last 10 years.

22k obo ;)

rockyraccoon 08-01-2013 05:41 AM

Yes, that's it. If a PPI checks out is the price right? I don't think there are detailed service records.

If the mechanicals are OK and it has the manual and service book I would buy it in a heatbeat!

If PPI is strong, given todays values, 20-22K would be a very good buy, low milage and great color.

The car is a steal at that price. They have been selling for much more.

Just a heads up that speedo/odo is not the original that came with the car. It would have come with a 85mph speedo so assume the mileage is unknown unless you have documention otherwise.
Non withstanding that, if its a nice car and checks out that's a very fair price/borderline steal...

Here is a Weissach I sold to give you an idea what a perfect and original one looks like (not to mention how an odo change should be documented): 1980 Porsche 911SC Weissach Edition-Platinum on Doric Gray

Thanks. Would consistent mileage on the car fax and service records be enough to confirm the actual mileage?

Ask that question to the German who bought the 20k miles 930.............

cvlcporsche 08-01-2013 02:38 PM

Carfax is notoriously inaccurate, not to mention Carfax only has records for cars with 17-digit VIN #'s (1981 or newer). So no luck on a Carfax.

Service records if they start in 1980 and are complete until current would document mileage, but above it sounded like you just have some from the last few years, in that case then no they wouldn't.

I sold my Weissach last year for $25k. Fresh paint, motor, interior and leather. 80k miles.
