Looks like a nice car.
Maybe. :)

bpfordfan 01-05-2014 06:48 PM

Ah, and guys said I was crazy for paying less than that a year ago for my one owner 83 SC with papers from day one! This car is a bargan right now!

Dan J 01-06-2014 05:52 AM

Will be sold by end of week

MrBonus 01-06-2014 06:05 AM

Where is Upland? Looks like somewhere out west. Love the color and modifications.

christiandk 01-06-2014 06:22 AM

Overpriced, imo.

Too many mods and 4 point harness to go with it......hmmmmmm.

What is the milage?

You will get a very nice stock SC for that price.

I guess it depends on the info we're missing. Just some small details like VIN and mileage and maybe a little history and a few more photos?

Upland is in Southern California about 50 miles east of Los Angeles.

Thanks. There is an Upland, Pennsylvania but that background did not exactly look like the northeast.

MrBonus 01-07-2014 06:59 AM

...Not that it matters as it is already sold.

PushingMyLuck 01-07-2014 04:16 PM

Great deal, it must have had $15,000 worth of work already done.
Totally new interior and suspension.

914max 01-07-2014 04:34 PM

very nice good luck to buyer

Dan J 01-07-2014 05:27 PM

Reasonable SC's are 20K + cars now, soon 30K

SilberUrS6 01-07-2014 07:24 PM

The answer to the question I posed in the original post is...

YES. ;)

$30k for an SC?

At that future time, what does that make 3.2's? $40k?
G50s? 45k?
What about 964, 993s? $45k?
997s? 55k?

All you need to do is go back ten years and look at pricing of various models. Extrapolate to the future. That shouldn't be too hard for a guy so tuned to the market, LOL.

Doesn't seem that surprising to me seeing that these cars sold for these numbers sometimes 30 years ago. Really, how many clean cars are out there? Who knows. The numbers won't surprise me anymore - unless they are going down.

GregoryF 01-13-2014 04:03 PM

I think you you will see SC's exceed the values of 3.2's as time goes on. The nostalgia factor is in play here and guys who graduated high school in '81-82 lusting after an SC are now in their early 50's and able to start collecting. The 3.2's will probably follow suit in time, but I think the SC's will be the first to pop if that hasn't started already. And besides, who can afford the long hood cars?
