Price check on a 79 911 SC "Euro"
Hello all,
I have a neighbor that is wanting to let his 1979 911 SC go. He has owned it for about 10 years and it has about 100k miles. He explained it was a "Euro" model, meaning the speedometer is in KM's not MPH. The car is rather clean with A/C and leather and a non-sunroof car. Color is factory white. He's thinking possibly $20k to $25k. Can I get your opinions on the value? thanks! |
Coupe or Targa?
Depends on the state of the engine and transmission. These are going $15-30k based on mechanical and cosmetic condition and history. Bone stock, very clean, functioning A/C, rebuilt trans & engine with new headstuds, no accidents or rust, $25-$30k No evidence of mechanical work, but otherwise clean -- $20-25 is about right. Any goofiness about wrecks, ownership history, dubious mechanicals, shoddy repaints, or custom body/interior work will drop value to $15-20k. Opinions differ about the value effect of it being a Euro. A certain plus is resale to the continent, which is sucking up 911s like they cure cancer. |
Thanks Cold,
its a coupe.....no sun roof Quote:

No sunroof and Euro adds value (maybe 15%- 20%) assuming car is excellent and not hacked about IMHO.

WOW! Someone has their internet mussels on! Yes, I'm asking about a car in Carson City. It happens to by my neighbor and I thought he was selling under market value. Just trying to help a friend out. If anyone is interested in the car shot me a PM. I have a lot more info on the car. |

Just thought that you were being dishonest about your interest in the car. We have a lot of people here with "hidden agendas" |
Hahaha...that was funny. Is it list for $15k? I smell bs... Just saying.
|
I had not seen the car in person until the other day. The car is priced about right in the $15k range. It has a very poor re-pain and not the original color.
If anyone wants more detail just let me know. C. |
Please would you PM me the sellers info.
Thank you. |
