9X15 and 11X15 BBS, need advise.
Hello
I hope this is the right forum for this type of question, it did not seem appropriate to post it in the classifieds because I still do not know if I'm going to sell them but I have not the faintest idea of their worth. They came to me attached to a 1979 930 that I bought two years ago. I immediately swapped them for a set of "17 Linsey Racing Fuchs with newer tires and had since forgotten their existence. I found them a week ago waiting patiently in the back of the warehouse and decided to see if they would be worth keeping or selling. Does anyone know their value? They are 9X15 and 11X15 three piece BBS shed with Pirelli P7 Cinturato 225/50/15 and 345/35/15 tires that appear to be in prety good shape. The wheels themselves have no curb rash and the finnish is the original spun aluminum so they have not been re-finished nor polished, they look fantastic! Would these be worth keeping for future projects/added value? Or should I just turn them into more warehouse space and parts cash. PLease advise. Thanks MD ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I sold a good condition set of BBS in the same size for 800$ last year. Mine were the more desirable motorsports versions. In hind sight I sold them under market. However, there is a real problem with tire availability, and I would say the realistic value is much closer to the lower end of the given scale

I raise my value estimate significantly if the rear tires have a recent date stamp.

I sold a nice set 7 months ago for $950. As aschen mentioned the rear tires are very expensive, in the $600 a piece range plus shipping when you can find them.
I was going to keep them just for display as they look so great, but the 80's look and 15 inch size just ain't popular. Quote:

Suggestion - just insert 'RS' or 'RSR' into the thread title.
Also the word 'vintage' doesn't hurt. ![]() good luck - tire availability aside - they're beautiful wheels. Bill K

There is a set for sale right now for $1200, that is about right. Tough to find tires that fit, anyone that is going to spend $$$ to build a proper RSR is going to use fuchs.
