Is a 77 Targa considered rare

Only rare if parked in a barn and smells like pee, that drives the value sky high. I can't believe that car is going for 18k. Must be someone who wants the smog exemption, do some states have that for a 77?

I doubt it is worth more than 8-9k, and that is as a parts car...assuming the rust is not too bad.

The bidding on that car is ridiculous.

The seats looks salvageable, and dash isn't cracked. The engine is a mess and is missing a lot. The 5 blade fan hints at an un-rebuilt 2.7.

Assume core value for the engine and transmission.

It miraculously has the tool kit, though I expect it is corroded. That is worth $200+ if decent. More if complete and clean.

I think "911S" doesn't mean what some of the bidders think it means.
