What is the deal with this 79 SC? It keeps getting posted at different prices!
 

There's a blue 1979 911SC that keeps popping up on Boston & other local craigslist sites. It's got what appear to be ROH wheels and a non OEM color blue repaint. I saw this car advertised for sale years ago for ~$10k. For the last year or longer, it has been posted repeatedly on craigslist at various prices, ranging from 18k to 26.5k.

The car will get posted at 22k and then an additional ad shows up a day or 2 later for 23 or now 26k.

Has anyone looked into this car? The ad claims a full rebuild etc but no service records or receipts.

I've seen it too. Is that the one that he claims he just lost all of the records? The blue paint scared me off and no mention of the original color either.

I've seen it as well. If you have any real interest in it, you might want to talk with Dave Maynard at European Locators in Framingham. If I am not mistaken, he had the car on consignment at one point. If so, he'll know the story behind it.

Because wasn't good when was sold by the original owner in MA for asking 10k. I saw it 15 minute drive from work.

And probably after all this time hasn't gotten any better.
