A genuine dyed in the wool bargain ...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/803944-fs-1980-widebody-sc-3-8-de-track-street-beast.html

A real rarity these days, I think this car is a genuine bargain. If I wasn't deep into a project I would buy it. I know the engine builder and have met the owner. I honestly don't think it could be built for anywhere close to what he's asking. I'd add some personal touches, but the more I look at the car the more I want it.

That car is not for me....but each to his own.

Edited because it was considered insulting by other members.

That car is like someones well used, botoxed, pimped up and rammed out ex-girlfriend....but each to his own.

Its a ground up build so how its well used or rammed out is a mystery to me. But as usual its another of your crass missives, so again, as usual, it registers like vaginal flatulence ... everyone continues as if nothing happened.

So many big words...like I said each to his own, buddy!

Hope that it is still ok to differ in opinion!?

Bill Rudtner does excellent work. I don't care for the color but I suspect its an awesome drive.

Ps, the new owner will want to budget $10k to give it a proper gearbox job. That piece of the puzzle is missing.

Rudtner does top shelf. He's the head of the DE program for Metro PCA.

The botoxed ex-girlfriend analogy seems completely off to me.

Everything done to that car appears performance oriented, and recent -- not cosmetic.

The fit & finish is impressive for a build like this.

I don't think I could handle owning it, but I wouldn't mind driving it once.

That's a beautiful 911 hot rod and it's not "all show/no go" by any means.

Differences of opinion are ok but outright, dumber than dog schit remarks are generally frowned upon.

Plus, it probably doesn't have the stamped service book. What a menstrual cramp.

Looks like a great build to me, but maybe others are just stuck on correctness and originality. I don't love the color, but it's certainly not bad looking. Exceeds my toy budget though.

Well, judging by the amount of time it was on the market, it was likely a bargain. Great looking beastie. But apparently not for the timid.

Nice 911. WOW!
Sounds like a bargain. Who ever bought it, got a smoking deal. Hope we can see the car running.

Wonder how long the build took.

Just curious. Why would that build include Bilstein HD and not Sport struts?

The ad still says he was asking $45k -- which was what he said the engine cost.
