1972 911 Targa value?
photo link at the bottom if you want to skip the BS. I would.
I purchased this Targa originally just to play with a 911 for a while. It passes inspection, was reliable, and looked good at speed. I drove this Targa in the non summer months in TX for a few years, parked it one summer and let it sit too long. carbs are currently frozen, but runs/starts fine. Previous owner invested quite a bit into the motor, I have a stack of receipts. Car was originally CA car before it came to TX. I was interested originally in the car since the floor wasn't blown out and was basically a rough daily driver ready to go, planned on putting money into it someday, but have other projects that I would prefer to spend time/money on. Paint is ok to poor in spots. No doubt there is some questionable body work done, but looks good at speed. Still stupid fun to drive, when its not over 95 out, no fun when its 105 in TX. I upgraded shifter/coupling hardware and put about 6-8k miles on it. Mechanically its a bit of a tank and has been solid. Squirts oil more than it should on my drive. Added proper dry cell batterie$. I found a proper stock wheel, and un-cracked dash, not installed. Looking for input from anyone as to what the realistic market value may be. Needs more money and time than I can spare. Will regret it someday for sure. Appreciate any input, thanks in advance. I have more photos to add to the link, I just realized there are not any full body shots, mostly what's there now is the nasty parts... which is what I would be more interested in I guess. detail photos: 1972Targa - 1972Targa |
