No real maintenance documentation. Important for top value!

86 Targa with only 88k miles not selling at $26k
Porsche 911 Carrera | eBay

Ditto to the above.

'86 coupe with 102k miles sells for $16k
Porsche 911 Sunroof Coupe | eBay

Salvage title and prior accident damage.

Targa with 116k sells for $22k
Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 2 Door | eBay

Seems about right given the amount of documentation provided in the ad.

This 78 SC with 150k+ miles didn't even get a bid at $18k
1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa | eBay

Ad was a little wonky with the wrong VIN. Perhaps a rerun of the car with accurate info and better pics would help?

On the flip side, this one sold for $33k ....

This is the perfect example of what can happen when you have a combination of records, nice car, and a wonderful presentation of the car.

Good one Matt! ROFL

There is no reason to put faith in anything you see on eBay. Its a place to list your car for exposure. Most sales take place outside of eBay.

Show me a link to a car that sold in the past year, and is now relisted at less than what it was sold for.

There are 3-4 examples on the front page of this forum and in the marketplace where a car sold, and has subsequently been relisted for significantly more money.

The market may slow evenutally -- they always do flatten at some point -- and maybe even pull back.

But if you think the market is slowing in April 2014, you must also be saving your money to buy Apple Stock @ $20 a share once this whole "iphone hysteria" fades.

Unfortunately not or he would have already been poisoned and we would all be suspect.
