Here ya go PML

Euro Spec 85 Targa.

Super clean, paint to sample in a really nice color. Not a great ad as far as maintenance, but from the 50+ pictures it looks very well taken care of, and apparently you can get information on maintenance from the mechanic.

If a Euro spec car passed California smog, it must be running pretty well -- and it looks right -- Cosmoline and a little grime, but no apparent leaks.

Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 2 Door | eBay
No Reserve auction: currently sitting at $19488 with two days to go.

Take a chance. You only live once. Once it is on the East Coast, if you don't like it, you can sell it on to Germany for a tidy profit.

Can't test drive it, no PPI, have to ship it, not local.

There, that enough excuses? Which one will be the first on his list??? Place your bets now...

MrBonus 04-29-2014 05:05 AM

That's a great looking color.

Dont forget I need to 'study' the ROW cars, up til now I've only been 'studying' the US market 3.2's

christiandk 04-29-2014 05:31 AM

Nice looking piece of machinery!

NYNick 04-29-2014 05:35 AM

He doesn't want a Targa either. Ask me how I know?

I like Bacon! Lol

NewfieMZ3 04-29-2014 01:17 PM

That's a nice looking car that appears to be well looked after. Not a big Targa fan, but looks good in that color and at the right price........you'd grow to love it for sure.

I concur! The tan interior on blue carpet is really striking, too!

Henry hill 04-29-2014 03:29 PM

Not only is it a Targa, it has a tail! He won't have the tail thing!

Your right! No tail! Must have this post confused with one of his other 15 posts. Post, post, post, post. He's a funny guy!

Great find COLB. Car looks very nice. Any predictions on final price? $23k?
The sellers are out, and prices are lower. Exactly as PML predicted.
You were not seeing anything like this in winter.
It seems winter is the worst time to buy with inflated prices from low supply.

MrBonus 04-29-2014 04:46 PM

If the sellers are out, where are the the clean coupes?

I have no idea. There are some unusual variables about this car -- Euro, paint to sample, California smog that the right guy might pay a big premium for. A "no reserve" auction is unusual for 911 that isn't a total dog with fleas.

How many high hp Euro cars can pass California emissions? Maybe more than I think -- speeder probably knows.

It might sell for $23-26k. It might sell for $30-35k+ if the right two Germans are trolling ebay at the same time.

Maybe more sellers, but also more buyers -- its called Spring. It happens every year, right around this time. But more cars for sale than there were in January is a given. Are there more cars than there were in May 2013? Than May 2012? Not seeing it where I live.

Prices are only lower in your head. Your own scruffy Boxster-seated targa example kicks the chair out of your silliness.

With the market heating up, sales price for 74-89 cars have greater variance. Rough cars are still out there for ~$18-20k, while top end cars -- even mids -- are now pushing $40k.

mattC2993 04-29-2014 06:30 PM

you better buy now PML before 993 prices skyrocket allowing the earlier 911 prices to rise even higher. They have already started the climb. Can you say BIN? :)

Photon 04-29-2014 06:36 PM

PML don't want no stinkin' 915! He has lots of seat time on internet BBs and has strong, well-founded views based on his wealth of experience.
