1970T Value?

I have a very nice 1970 T that is for sale and want input from others of its value. White/Black. 42000 miles, COA, Calif. Car, flawless paint, new interior using factory materials, S options, 3000 miles on engine rebuild to 2.4 specs. Webers, new clutch, H-1 lights, Carrera cooler, pictures available. A truly fine example of an early 911. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1398900236.jpg

Yep! I was going to say the same. Love Torrey Pines.
Beautiful car. If I'd crossed you on the street I'd ask if you want to trade for a 964! :D

$65-80 maybe higher if it's a numbers matching car w/o rust

All numbers match with the COA.

^^^$100k plus ....private sale or give it to a broker who advertises world wide and ask $165k and I'm sure you'd be happy to pay the commission.

Right....$165k. Sure..........not sure why engine was rebuilt at 42,000 miles. Sounds more like 142,000 miles or more. Either way. Nice. My guess would be more in the range of $45-$65 depending on interior and how well the car runs and more detail pics of the car.

Good luck with the sale. Keep us posted.

pu911 05-02-2014 09:33 PM

Well not $45-65k and not $165k, somewhere in between, no way to know with just one pic, the devil's the details

No rust. CA car for 44 years. Engine was rebuilt because the previous owner now passed away and had all necessary parts for rebuild. The original 2.2 T engine was not a powerhouse. Now it has 2.4 E p/c, E cams, and counter balanced crank and is a great car on the street!

Could be $20k on either side of $75k. Details, as mentioned.

Considering how the market has been lately, I would have to guess on the higher side. They are dragging these cars out from under-tree storage in the PNW, after all. :)

Surprised that the car has the new California plate. How come you didn't keep the blue plate, if the car has been in CA for 44 years?

Can you verify the mileage?

More pics would be nice.

Plates get lost, people keep them, people want the newer look plates and discard the old, etc., etc., etc. Just because the car has been in CA and doesn't have a faded old blue plate on it doesn't mean it hasn't been in CA for 44 years. My car had late '80s plates on it and it's from the mid-70s and never left CA.

alschlegel 05-04-2014 06:30 PM

Car sat unregistered for 6-8 years. Mileage is documented and previous owners widow will verify.
