993 Turbo deal
I bet this will be gone in a couple days even with it being sold at BHCC. If this car has some issues, at $89k sure looks like a deal to me with these fetching well over $200k these days.
is this still a $150k car with over 100k miles? 1997 Porsche Turbo Last edited by Farrell; 06-08-2015 at 07:02 AM.. |

well, you were right about not lasting long - it's now shown as sale pending.
However since it was advertised for $89K, I think by definition it's an $89K car (or less, especially given the seller) not a $150K car.

Apart from the fainted paint (which will buff out easily) it looks nice and original.... will pop up again shortly for 115k+

Just tried to call them. Answering machine. The person who talks on the machine sounds 1/3 British, 1/3 Mexican and 1/3 retarded. NO OFFENCE to that minority - just saying!

I agree, and the part that bums me out most is they probably picked this car up for under $80k, i would've loved to have made that deal, not for flipping reasons, but to own a 993 Turbo!

I don't know, guys. That dealer certainly knows what 993 Turbo's are worth. Something's just not right with this picture.

Trust me guys BHCC knows EXACTLY what their cars are worth - and many, if not all have serious issues. This was not a deal. Guarantee it needed much more than a paint buff. These guys are in the game and have been in the game for a long time.

couple of things do not look right. On the interior, the wood trim on the wheel does not match the wood trim on the hand brake. and if I remember right the wood trim option also included wood trim pieces on the dash, someone correct me if I am wrong. this could be that the interior was worn out and the dealer simply swapped it out with different pieces. its really hard to judge the paint, im sure the pic has been edited, red is an easy paint color to make look better then it is in a pic.

I 100% agree that these guys know the market value of these cars.
I was just surprised they didn't ask over $100k as this is a unicorn in the Porsche world and upon inspection of the photos it did not look too bad, although I'm sure if you saw it in person there is a whole different story, one thing you can see in the photo is how the car runs and drives. Mechanically sound from BHCC is like McDonalds claiming to be healthy. |

What makes it a real unicorn these days is that it has some honest miles on it and isn't a 30k-mile garage princess. 993TTs like that are tough to find!

Yep. Looks like this is a well enjoyed daily driver. Not a garage ornament owned by someone worried about resale value.

There must be a reason why they didn't take the undertray off in any one of the many pictures they took. Could it be that oil on the headers is harder to photoshop out than "issues" in shiny red paint
