An example of how quickly good cars sell

With all the talk about cars that don't sell it's easy to forget the ones that sell in one or two days.

A month ago I saw this 89 Coupe for sale on Craigslist in New Jersey. 52,000 miles. I believe it was a 2 owner. Had about 5 pictures. Ad was asking 31k. If I hadn't bought my car last year I would have been at this guy's house that day with cash. The ad was taken down after a few hours.

The same car is now listed at Holt Motor Sports. Absolutely beautiful. They don't list prices but I wonder how much they want for it now.

1989 Porsche Carrera 3.2 (G-50) - Holt Motorsports - used porsche 911 dealer, certified pre owned, porsche 911,porsche 993,porsche 996

Great looking car...I bet that they are asking low to mid 40s.

Two years ago when I called about an '89 in Grand Prix White they had on the lot with identical mileage, they were asking $45,000. I'm willing to bet that car is being offered in the 50s.

Like someone said in another thread, there are only the quick and the dead now days. :D

And those pole smokers are quick.

Saw a similar situation yesterday. Checked Craigslist and saw an '87 Carrera, 150K miles, not too much description but some nice pictures, appeared clean, for just shy of $11K. I thought "Hmm, interesting, maybe I'll check it out after work." A little later in the afternoon, when I went to pull the ad back up, I saw it was gone.

LOL, if I saw a CL ad where there was a driver 3.2 for $11k, I'd be in my car driving to the place immediately.
