nom start 1987 carrera
 

can anybody tell me if a 1987 Carrera will not start when the speedometer is out of the car? my car was doing fine,i go to move it out of the garage and into the drive way so that I get more room to work around and it will not start. I am waiting on a speedometer replacement for it so at the time it has no speedo. I can hear the pump but no start. should I hear the pump the minute the ignition is in the on?
