'84 Targa in Minneapolis, priced well?
I keep coming across this listing when looking for parts, it seems like current Carrera prices make this pretty reasonable.
1984 Porsche 911 Targa There's a lack of information and decent pictures, but for those in the market is sure seems worth a call.

Hard to say without really looking it over, could be anything from a smoking deal to a nightmare car. So many questions; quality of repaint/accident history/service records/etc., etc...
Also, being that Minneapolis is my hometown I can say that some of the worst used cars on the planet come from there. Unless it was garaged every winter since 1984, it's going to be a nightmare underneath. Definitely worth taking a look at, though.

Sports seat, upgraded headlights, great color scheme (if you like black), new paint (can be good or a big warning sign.)
the price is so low it gives one pause. If you are local and in the market, I would be there in a flash. Expect a bit of a backstory at that price -- because when things are too good to be true, they usually are. Call quick, because if it is legit, it is probably already gone.

He put that ad up a few weeks ago at $17,900 but didn't include a telephone number or email address so there was no way to contact him.
Now he just relisted for $15,900 - probably thinking there was no interest at his original price. I sent him an email, no reply. Car is probably long gone. Another owner who hasn't done his homework. |
