SC Barn Find, What do you Guys think??

Barn find 81 SC, 1 owner, around 60K, but not sure, bought new from Brumos Porsche. Now belongs to a buddy (wish I had seen it 1st) and she does run, should clean up very nicely.

Be interesting if he sell his 65 Vette now to keep the wife at ease

Probably going against the grain, but I seriously love that white/white. Hope he doesn't change a thing.

A true one owner, have the correct SC badge for it.. The records will be coming next week.

No plans, maybe the Turbo tail, depending on what the paperwork says (like if Brumos sold & installed it)

Talked to the original owners Son, said his Father hated the 85mph speedo and had it swapped out for a 180 one. He is coming to town next week to get the records for the SC to my buddy and the SC emblem and hopefully the 85 mph speedo. He also added the turbo tail, which most likely will be removed and the car had some paintwork when the tail was added, not sure why yet. After all the fluids were flushed and the car check out by Former Brumos Tech & service manager Frank Eisenmann (35 years with Brumos) and the car fired up & sounds good (hadn't been fired up in over 2 years)

85 m.p.h. speedometer...

I still have the original 85 m.p.h. unit in my '82 SC, but I plan on swapping it out with a 150 m.p.h. unit as part of my backdate.

One interesting tidbit is if your a passenger observes it during an acceleration run, it appears (visually, needle swings fast) that you are going faster than you really are because it pegs the needle really fast.

I've taken numerous people on rides and they are amazed at how fast it "pegs the speedometer!"

The bumper rod and Carrera emblem has to go.

I doubt this is a 60k mile car given the speedo change.

Leaving the CB whip mount, at lest for now, Carrera emblem & factory 930 wing are gone, the lid is at the paint shop.

Swapping out the 85MPH speedos were common for these SCs, since most 911 owners use more than 1st & 2nd gear.

The dash is in great shape.
