Shipping out of the US
Hello everybody, just looking for some tips or direction on shipping.
I have searched for over a year for the correct rear wing for my 76 930. When I bought my car it had a 3.3L wing, so I am going to great effort to bring the car back to original. I have finally found the correct wing at the price I want to pay. It's in Oregon and I'm in South Australia. Would be no great deal but the ebay seller states no international shipping. Now I understand the seller has his/her own reasons for stating this, and I won't push the point on them. But I have looked for a long time for this item and won't see another at this price for a while I figure? I have been told there are companies that specialize in shipping items for this very scenario. So the seller ships to a US address (the shipping company) then I deal with the shipping company from there. Has anybody had this experience or knows of a system available to me? Better still... has anybody got an early 930 wing to sell and ship to me? |

Can you find a local Pelican in Oregon to pick it up for you and then ship you the item? If I was in the local area I'd do it for you.

Hi Wildturkey,
Are you looking just for the wing, or the entire motor lid and wing together? Also, is the 76 Turbo wing the same as the wing that comes on the 80's Carrera 911 cars? If so, I have one that came on my 1985 3.2 Carrera that I would be willing to sell and ship to you in Australia. PM if interested in discussing. |

I will be in Oregon Monday
Have friends who can likely help but a 76 Carrera wing is not that rare and I believe they are correct in the above posts

Thanks for your help everybody. I have some good leads there to go on with. The 76 930 tail is very hard to come by in Australia. They made very few of the cars. Only a small amount of them came to AU. Then to divide that up there are 3 versions of that wing. No second grill, a small second grill and the large second grill. I'm keen to get my hands on one before I paint the car. I don't want to try and set the gaps and match paint down the road.
