Need help pricing a 2014 C4S Cab
 

A close family member purchased the following car under a year ago as a retirement present but quickly found that she was not driving it at all and it wasn't really what she needed for this stage of her life. It's a Mahogany Metallic 2014 991 C4S Cab with 1900 miles optioned as follows:

Does anyone have an idea what I should be asking private party? Is $130,000 too aggressive?

I apologize for the only photo I have being obscured by my car. I haven't had a chance to go grab some new, clean photographs.

No real experience here, but I'd say someone paying a buck twenty would be getting a great deal, so you're asking doesn't seem that crazy high…maybe just a tad.

The challenge in selling a car immediately after buying new is that most prospects will want a new one; those who need to lease can only lease a new one; those who need to finance will pay a lower rate on a new one.

If the total paid out with tax, registration, etc is around $140K (these cars are usually discounted from sticker by as much as $20K) then the ask should be closer to $120.

Trying to pump the aircooled? It looks good and most here will fall for it :) I sure will. It looks fantastic!

Perfect picture. The 991 is just bland compared to the Porsche.

Thanks, guys. The dealership offered her $115,000 and I was trying to see if it was worth wading into the private party pool to get anything substantially more. I agree with techweenie; dealerships have the market cornered on loans and CPO, making new luxury cars a difficult sale to private parties.

I just want to be adopted into that family. A 144K 991 gift? Damn it!!!

Now that you have a dealer offer maybe hit up a couple of the high end private leasing companies. No idea if they would pay more but only way to find out is ask.

I see such comments on a Porsche forum and chuckle. I've got air cooled money. Got an uncle who is Stanford and Harvard educated who retired at 50. Buys a new Porsche every 2-3 years and trades in the "old" one.
Not my money. Never will be. But when he has a p-car question I get a question.

I hear you, Matt. To be honest, I'm much happier with my air-cooled and that isn't just my moderate financial condition speaking. I'll check out the leasing companies.

I'd throw it on eBay for the exposure and wait for the offers to roll in. If it's flawless, (and it certainly appears to be), it WILL sell for whatever market price is on it. New cars are a commodity and unlike old used cars, 2 of them are the same.

It's a great color in the current market and someone looking for a new one will give you a fair price considering what it would cost new to them with 100% of the warranty and zero miles.

We already know that it's worth more than $115k. Find out how much, none of us here know exactly. You have to go through the selling process to find out. GLWS. :)
