Nice looking little car.. a bit pricey for a middie, but 77 is an excellent year. Everything an SC has except flares and a 3.0 The period correct aftermarket Recaros are nice, though I think they may have screwed-up the passenger mirror install.

As the owner of a 76, I would really want to see some docs on an engine rebuild of some kind. If done correctly it would prove a solid buy. If no docs I would pass.

That car has been listed for a couple of months and hasn't moved.

Sorry, but the one year 911 which I wouldn't buy is the 77, unless it were a turbo. The 77 911's had the thermal reactors which were the source of many an overheated engine. And the 3.0 liter motor introduced to all 911 cars one year later put the 77 2.7 to shame, from a reliability, longevity, hp and torque perspective.

What Blau said. Also don't like the early script on a middie. They also could have sprung for some center caps.

But we know in most cases, realistically, the thermal reactors have been long gone.. lets hope so anyway. And its a given that the SC of the following year was a much better car.. but that's not what's being discussed.

Again, we used to love 77s back in the day, cheap fixers.. ad the SC flares, work the motor or add a 3.0 and have fun. They "were" an excellent value.

Here in Colorado emissions will fail the car without the thermal reactors. And Colorado law is the seller is responsible for selling a car that will pass emissions.

The reality is if it's still on the road chances are the engine has been addressed. The big question is how well addressed and the sheer lack of details/shady dealer plater make me run from this one.
Once sorted there is nothing wrong with a 77.

If anyone is serious about the car I will inspect it. $200 for my mileage and time.
