May be sold; maybe not 71 coupe, Turquoise

Just wanted to brag about this little 9-month project.

I really wanted to own this car, but the money gods did not smile on me, so it became an investment.

Starting point:

Ending point:

I have only been able to find one other Turquoise (#6464) car. This one was a track rat for many years but numbers matching and rust free. Needed a TON of work, some of which is documented in the album.

I have a deposit in hand, but the rest of the money is taking forever... if it is put back on the market, it will be $48,500

Very nice. Love the color.
Started out low! How was the ride down there?

Actually have not altered the ride height, just put proper tires on it!

It's an amazing color, still takes my breath away when I open the garage door.

Don't know if I could part with such a pretty car. Simply gorgeous color. My wife has a thing for Porsche's light blues. Technically the Ossi blue 912 is supposed to be for her to drive. But it isn't light enough for her. I will not be showing her this car.

I'll send you a kidney as a deposit if you will hold it until my second home settles on 8/23.

Ha. I think it's taken, but if I don't hear from the guy, I'd sure rather have it stay in the country!

Ronnie keeps a few extra pair around in case of emergencies.

Nice job Tech, I know "there is always another car" but that must be tough to let go of.

I made a special 400 mile trip to see that color. Still waffling on what color to change a sepia car (that has already been color changed to black). Before that, Jade was the frontrunner, and before that tangerine, and viper, and then..
You cannot capture that color on a computer screen. The photos don't look good in comparison to the real thing. I believe there are skid marks on the street in front of that garage.

These days, if I was painting a car that was originally Sepia I wouldn't paint it anything other than Sepia. That is unless you plan to be buried in it. But if you ever intend to sell, that color is a hot item and originality is key.
