Best color for RS Clone / Hotrod?
I'm building a RS clone/hotrod from a '69 911 coupe with a 2.7 twin spark engine. I'm getting close to painting it and trying to decide on a color. Eventually, I'll want to sell the car and move onto another project. I'm leaning toward Signal Orange but considering Viper Green, Tangerine or Signal Yellow. I'd love to hear your thoughts for most desirable color. FYI, it will have a one piece fiberglass rear bumper, an RS style front bumper, a duck tail, 7 & 8" Fuchs. Thanks!

of those, Signal Yellow...Have you considered Arrow Blue?
|
I'd look at Gulf Orange before I did Tangerine.

Ossi blue is pretty nice.

All the colors mentioned above are excellent choices, but they are also common choices.
May I suggest you take a look at Aubergine? |

This! I just saw a 72 hotrod in Aubergine and it is stunning! |

That actually looks like Speed Yellow, which is a later color.
This is Signal Yellow. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1410201071.jpg |
It's late evening lighting and a cell phone camera. It most definitely is Signal Yellow

Porsche yellows range from Post-it-Note to Taxicab.

TW, I think both of those cars look pretty darn nice.

I had an Aubergine '68. I do not like that color. Guess I'm the outlyer.
No real secret. I'm a sunflower yellow sort of guy. Love that little teeny touch of green. |

Thanks for all the great input and pics! I've narrowed it down to Gulf Orange, Mexico Blue or Signal Yellow. Please send in your votes!
