The one that got away.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/823602-fs-93-rs-america.html

$130k. I am stunned.

The TWO that I could have had for under $40k. With low miles. Perfect in every way.

Except for the very small problem of no rear seating. Which would have nixed the purchase according to the Other Half.

One of them was SO nice it was really hard for me to pass up.

I'll never understand why people swap out the original steering wheels. That one is hideous.

By now it's pretty clear that good, honest 964's aren't getting any cheaper. If you've got an itch...scratch it!

Maybe because the original steering wheels look like something that belongs in either Grandma's station wagon, or a bread delivery truck?

Eh, not really. I was always fond of the four spoke airbag wheel anyways. Besides, it's period. Why try to make the car something it's not?

A 930 seems like a better buy and a way more visceral experience.

I won't lie, I have never driven one. 130k for a stripped down C2 just seems silly, but I wish him luck with the sale.

dunno bout that, i have owned 4 930's and one 965 with power varying from 350hp to 615hp at the wheels along with proper suspension and brake mods.

don't get me wrong, i love the turbo cars, have a 993tt as i type this, however, the rs/gt3 cars are a blast to drive, is this rs worth $130k, i doubt it very seriously but than again show me a 930/965 that is as well

Ohhh man, I just realized that you are not the "Christian" that my comment was directed at (I thought you were someone else that I joke around with on here). Ha! What a shmuck (me, that is)!

I hardly think a Momo is very far astray from what a Porsche "is" and certainly isn't an attempt to make it something that "it's not."

I can't think of any that 'got away'.
I fondly remember seeing the brakes lights of one of my POS 68 912's leaving my driveway for the last time, however.
