White car popularity or resale value?

Hi all, I've been enjoying my red 87 Carrera for the last decade and am starting to look at getting another one. I've found a few mid 1990s 911s I like one is Artic white cab. with navy interior. I used to not like the white but it has grown on me, and I live in a hot summer climate.

I have found a nice one with low miles in great shape I like, but am worried that if I dont like it and decide to keep my older car, that there is not a market for the white cars.

Thoughts anyone?

THX

You would have absolutely no trouble selling a white 911 - plenty of people like them in that color.

White rocks...even though none of my cars are white.
I looked at a 1995 White Cab with blue top and interior this year, only had 27K on it, and seriously considered it. Owner wanted 40K, but after flying to California to see it, found it had been damaged and repaired (very well, but damaged none the less).
The blue interior was less offensive than I thought it would be, but I loved the clean and simple of look of white.
Love it.

I searched specifically for a white 964 and ended up buying one.

Red was at the top of my DO NOT BUY list, as was black.

For most of the more common 911 colors, (red, white, black, silver), you'll probably find there are as many who like certain ones as dislike them.

White used to be the traditional German racing color. Like a red Ferrari or green Jag, don't think you can go wrong but Im biased.

White seems like it might never be the most popular color, but it shouldn't be the least either. It seems like a low risk play.

Natural lines of 911 shape are most visible in white or black imo. But I would've bought mine in any color almost, due to its condition.

Had a white with blue Carrera for sale recently. Found a buyer in a few days. Two weeks before, I was asked to help sell a red Carrera. Still waiting for a bite on that one.

This would be typical of the market as I see it.

Unless you are the guy trying to sell one.
There's been a white on brown for sale for quite a while now.
I'd go so far as to say ask fo rather than command based on that sampling.

As long as the car doesn't have a white interior and white wheels, there is no market issue.

"triple white" is a tough sell, IMO.

I had a Grand Prix White 993 coupe. I really wanted Aventurine Green or Silver but got the white car at a good price. After parking next to a both silver and green 993s at later times, I was really surprised to actually prefer the white over either color. I still think green and silver 993s look good in pictures but white 993s look so much better in person.

I also think all 911s look better in non-metallic colors.

I never thought I would own a white car - just too bland/blender (not as bad as the flesh and earth tones, though), until I saw a white Turbo in person . . . with all the black trim, spoiler bits and shark fins, it looks spectacular in person. White also looks great with dark window tint. And before any of you wisenhymers sez "window tint is so 80's/Miami Vice", that's exactly what these cars are - hookers and blow, bros! Not to mention that tint is a must here in TexAss if one plans to drive their car from April through November around here.

Stunning car.
Now its one of my favorite "colors".

I love white 911's. They remind me of storm troopers.

Yeah, white is definitely new black or is it the new silver? In any case, I feel like people buying "classic liquid cooled" p cars 20 years from now will be looking for nice cars in any color except white, lol. That said, love my Grand Prix white SC. I think it is the best color for the g series specifically.
