Flipity Doo Daaa
This car was listed on the RAC center website a couple of weeks ago. I had considered it before I bought the Cassis Red 88 Targa. It was listed there for $36k
I don't think Lux added 9 grand of value to the car but I am a free markets kind of guy so .... It appears to be a nice car. When sellers use word or phrases like "flawless" and " Absolutely Perfect" its usually means they're not in touch with reality. I don't consider any used car "Flawless". I find it impossible to believe that any car has traveled 50k miles and not had a small flaw in the paint from a rock or otherwise. Nice Looking Car... was reasonable at $36 I think a price of $46 has way too much premium in it.

I agree with you. I have just started a casual search myself and just emailed a seller on the PCA website whose '86 Carrera sold to a dealer for $31.5K, no PPI, and I joked that it will probably be up for sale again very soon for $45K.
It is getting frustrating for those of us who would rather pay a rational sum for a clean, low(er) mileage example. |

I didnt say they weren't selling at those prices, coupes or targas. I just think its past the point where I would want to pay.
I picked up a 65k mile 88 Targa 2 weeks ago for a LOT less money and its Pristine and Flawless ( Just kidding ). It is extremely nice, was extremely well cared for. I am sure I could flip it for a nice profit but then what? If I sold it for whatever, call it $45k then replacing it would seem to cost just as much. I am not a speculator in the 911 market so I am very happy to keep what I got. Besides my M&K GT3 exhaust just arrived today.

Very pretty car, I would even considering trading my '86 coupe for it. (I like Targas)
Didn't RAC recently get called out on a car with a major mileage discrepancy? I would want to see some records to support the mileage.
