is 1200. too much for drivers side sport seat core including shipping?

Seat is a core but solid rebuildable core for 74 to 80 911. Am I crazy high or is this fair in today's climate? Ive bought a cpl sets of 81 to 84 series but these seem ALOT HARDER to find. In fact I cant find any in last cpl yrs that I can afford so looking for knoledgable current prices. Any recent sales of single seats. If I pay shipping in usa is this out of line? Thx all.

Yes harder to find. Nice seat but IMO that is high for a core. I was offered a very nice set for not much more in the last month. I believe a mate of mine is now going to purchase for his 75.

I think the bigger issue is that you've only got one and it needs to be redone. Anyone caring so much about period correctness that they have to have this type will want a pair. Anyone who wants a nice original one to replace their damaged drivers sport seat wont find this useful. Anyone who just wants a supportive seat that holds them in pretty well on the turns will almost certainly go for a nice bolt-in pair of 81-84 seats for probably less than what you're asking.

FWIW I've been paying $400-500 ea. for 74-80 sports seats in that condition recently.

How about finding me a passenger side and I'll throw u a bone? Just a side note I have 3 sets of 81 to 84 sport seats and to the untrained eye they look the same but are different in hinge and shape. The later seats are fairly common or atleast much easier to find and the value is way different. 400. Is right for later style. Lmk
