'73 Targa on the Bay?

I'm not a buyer; I have my one allowed P-car, but, like all of us here, the market interests me. This one looks good, but it doesn't smell 'quite' right to me.

I assume you mean this one:

Porsche 911 T Targa | eBay

- Seller with zero transactions
- No VIN provided
- no seller location
- almost no info in the ad
- Only 4 pictures
- No reserve

Certainly has all the hallmarks of a scam.

The only thing that isn't scam-like is that the pictures are pretty high quality, and are apparently no where else on the Internet.

If it is a scam, the scammer seems to have personally taken the pictures of the car, and didn't just lift them from some dealer website.

If you get scammed off eBay, I wonder if their "buyer protection" will refund 100% of the purchase price.

It's a scam. Photos stolen from an old ad on another site.

That's too bad. Was looking forward to the final bid price.

That looks like a pretty well known car that lives in the Midwest. At least that's the color combo.

My first 73.5 coupe was like that: silver with lobster red leather and sport seats. Pretty spectacular combination, IMO.

Gentlemen,
Does the "sold" price of $149K smell/appear right for this car?
