2007 997 tt What price is going to make it a smart buy?
Thanks in advance for your opinions and input.
Ryan So...I found a buyer for my pantera now I have to make a decision to buy..or sit on the cash, lease an Audi S4 and find a 964 to backdate. I located a local, 2007 tt sunroof car. Atlas Grey/black interior 35k miles Interior: very nice condition Non adaptive seats, Sport chrono package, multi function steering wheel, suede? headliner Drive train: Tiptronic S Engine/exhaust stock with stock exhaust, 30k service performed, includes a VR Tuning flash tuner Steel brakes not ceramic Will need rear tires in 5-7k per owner Additional new front lip incl. Now, I've been driving an auto for the past couple years. I drove highly modified mustang cobras and my pantera both sticks obviously with very heavy sport clutches. I would never consider driving a purely auto car if it were a cobra, however if I was in stop and go traffic a heavy clutch on my daily driver would drive me nuts. My concern I guess would be that the resale value on the Tip vs a manual or PDK car (which is more additional financing and payment above the proceeds of the pantera sale) than I want to bite off each month I have already rationalized it to myself that the car will most likely not depreciate below the $40 something thousand I'm putting down and the $2-300 a month payment will kind be like an inexpensive "lease" payment to have a the best of both worlds: a car that has the utility of an auto that is really fun, and fast when I want it to be. The seller is asking $64k has to relocate overseas mid Jan and has to sell prior to moving...and listing his car during the holidays is not working out in his favor. My suspicion is that I can get a better deal than that. So my question: Given the condition, features, mileage, and that this car is a tiptronic...What price would make this car a good buy? ( to mitigate depreciation..so that if a year or two from now I realize "hey, I shoulda financed the extra 10 grand and bought a manual" or at which time I can justify the payment for a PDK tt once they have dropped in value a bit more.) run-on sentence thinking aloud..sorry. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1419106156.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1419106197.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1419106219.jpg |

Welcome Ryan.
This is the right forum but there aren't a ton of 997 guys here. Might be slow getting feedback. You could try the 997 turbo forum on Rennlist. Knowledgable group of people there. Personal I wouldn't but the tip. A PDK is such a superior car that it is the only 2 pedal Porsche that I would consider. Have you thought about a PDK Cayman instead? That's in your price range. |
i think its too much i work at champion porsche so i see trades all the time
we have a 2007 gray/espresso ceramics 9k miles manual perfect asking 74k prob buy for 72k |
