Why do sellers delete the sold price?

Why do sellers delete the sold price? It's frustrating when you are trying to determine the market prices for various cars which actually sell when there is nothing to refer to.
Asking price and selling price as we know can be two very different things.

Anyone care to enlighten me please? Perhaps a seller can tell me your rationale.

Thanks in advance.

Gary

Asking/listing price does not always equal selling price. One can gain insight into market price by looking at vehicles that aren't selling and their asking price.

Probably because their asking is nowhere near their sold price. If it were, they'd leave it.

That's really cool. Mine was 1304; 66 cars earlier than yours. Sold it a few months ago and left my asking price public. Like the OP, I get frustrated when sellers delete their asking price.

Never understood that practice, or deleting the whole first list so you don't even see what was for sale. Though I could see a secret curbstoner wanting to do it.

Buy car. Flip it. Delete ad before people notice it is the same car.

That looks like a nice driver - good buy at that price, imo. Hope that you dont get sellers remorse when you see it driving around town.

Believe it or not some people (buyers) don't feel it's anyone else's business what they pay for a car.
