The sad thing is this.... I have recently seen some pretty nasty tactics going on in some of these eBay listings.
A shady seller lists a car .... then he goes ahead and bids other similar cars up to prices way way over the market through multiple accounts, thinking it makes his car with what looks like a much lower buy it now look like a great deal. I was following a couple of auctions for a Sunbeam Tiger and on an Alfa GTV 2000 and noticed this tactic.

Luckily its not Lobster interior..
I saw some nefarious bidding on a 1960's Rolex once it was really mean to the seller in the end. This is just funny.

Well, eBay has finally removed the 1983 SC auction. And it was only at $225K... Thumbs up to those who had the idea of bidding into the stratosphere--this tactic might actually be effective protection to bidders who don't frequent Pelican or Rennlist.
