Looks nice, but too little info. All 931 are manual.

Good cars overhere cost between 10-20K.

How do you know that it is 73K kms and not 173K kms?

Does it have a lot of documentation and history?

Here's another solid one:

A lot of Spanish only speaking vintage Porsche owners in the beautiful state of CO?

Matt Monson 02-17-2015 07:35 AM

Yep, we have a large Mexican population. When I was at Carquip we sold them a bunch of 944 and 924 parts. They take pride in their cars. One guy had an amazing 924 GTS replica.

Well, learned something new today then.

Gracias amigo!

The 924 Turbo...run, don't walk away...take it from me, these are huge headaches.

jaque 02-17-2015 05:09 PM

well i went into the south side of chicago past us cellular field.. whoa..
kid was very nice and polite, neighborhood not so much..
father gave it to son for graduating college and he only drove a few times and they keep at grand dads house.

overall it looked good, driver door had been painted, and the sunroof had blistering on it.interior was very nice.. and engine bay look tidy, 5700 he came down too. at 4500 its worth it i think.. im a mopar man so looking for a little advice.

They were pretty cars but it's a 924!!!! $1500 I would think. Maybe. No, really!

jaque 02-18-2015 11:02 AM

ok, ill let him stew, but i saw a non turbo that just sold for 5000, at a dealer see ebay.. not going anywhere ill tell you that, garage is snowed in.

924's sell from $700 to $1500 in San Diego. Are you kidding me?

It's a 931, not a 924.

Rare find if the miles are true. The turbos are an enthusiast's car and not exactly one for the general population, especially at this age. Even rare in very good condition, demand is low. If the mileage is true, there is going to be a lot of old rubber and general maintenance if you want a reliable driver. Same could be said of any 1981 vehicle with 45k miles.

Chat with the folks at 924board.org. The usual suspects here aren't going help. $4500 range sounds more in the ballpark, but I haven't followed selling prices on these lately. Pay a shop, or someone, who really knows these old cars look it over before purchasing.

...and make sure that

1) They include 3 extra NOS exhaust manifolds in the deal as they crack in 25,000 miles
2) They also include 3 extra head gasket sets
3) A couple of torque tubes
4) And a years supply of anti-depressants...
