1977 930 turbo coupe

Who said the market was down. This turbo was listed 3 hours ago for 59k now 99k.
What a joke!

Don't think anybody has said that the 3L 930 market is down.
It's a much different market than the "ordinary" Porsche market, anyway. Akin to the RS market a year or two before the spike (which is a big hint to anybody with the means - if they didn't already know..)

Dude's phone and email must have spontaneously combusted, prompting a price adjustment. Or the 5 and 9 were transposed in the first price. He may still be low.

Joke

The price was poster originally for 59k for two hours and then changed to 99k after numerous hits I guess?
I guess it's what the market will bear.
I would hope the owner would honour (or honour for the American crowd) the price if the first guy showed up with the cash.

If I had my car for sale I would honour a deal made on the phone WITH a deposit in hand.
BUT far too many times over the years. I,ve been asked to hold something because a person was on their way. Often they didn,t even show up or have the manners to call and say I changed my mind.
In this market I would hope to have several eager buyers in my driveway same time .
Like the hot Toronto real Estate market. Why sell for less than market value

I agree, if I wasn't out of town and had seen the ad when first posted I would had tried to be there with the cash in hand.
I sold my boat like that a few years ago had a brain fart posted it for below market value. I made a verbal agreement with the first guy that called and he brought the deposit the same day.
I had numerous offers over the asking just for the motor let alone the boat and trailer, but I honoured our agreement and moved on.
Turned out he got me and my family deals on Toyotas to return his good fortune.
Sometimes what goes around, comes around.

The market on these cars is all over the map changing daily.
If I recall last fall I asked our new to town Pcar dealer in London what my 1995 993 Coupe 6 sp. might be worth these days. That,s less than 6 months ago
The salesman said the dealership wouldn,t be interested in it because of it,s age.
He told me I should sell it myself and suggested I start at $20,000 as I could always go down.
Even many dealer,s are out of touch.
If I,d taken his advise I,d be adjusting my price in about an hour too by more than 100%

The market for the early turbo's is not all over the map- even at adjusted price car is still a steal. This price is where market was two years ago- pricing has gone up at least 50 % in the last two years.

Sorry I was describing the air cooled market in general being all over the map.
I know the 77 above is still underpriced but by how much is debateable depending on it,s mechanical condition and originality.
Too bad I sold mine 20 yrs ago
