Think I could trade into a nice 997tt?

Black Metallic 1980 930. Less than 400 miles on split case rebuild: new main and rod bearings, new rings, rebuilt and re-bushed rods, new rod bolts, ARP head studs, cams re-ground by Elgin for improved low-end performance, refaced/re-bushed rocker arms, complete head rebuild, twin plugs, K27, RarlyL8 headers, Borla Muffler, Electromotive XDi-2, Clewett plug wires/crank pulley/crank sensor, Andial intercooler. etc., etc., etc...

Strongly considering a move into a more modern and forgiving 911 Turbo and figure that given the tax implications of separate selling/buying transactions some sort of trade looks pretty attractive.

Here are a few pics - more available for interested parties.

I wouldn't do that trade, but you probably aren't looking for a Cab TT anyway.

^^^^ Not certain I followed your double negative, Nick.

Norm..what gives?! all that work to get rid of it :)

At least do a GT3/2 but I guess the word "forgiving" wouldn't apply to those.

Let's get that front range cruise in here asap!!

Ya, ya I know. I probably deserve some grief for finally getting my car back on the road only to pine for something different. My wife, bless her heart, thinks I'm nuts, as she pretty much always does when I finish a major project on a car and begin the search for something else. My explanation to her is always this; I know I'm never going to have an full-on car collection so I gotta do it one at a time...

Ahh it happens.. I would love to have a 996Gt2 or 997.2 Gt3 and would have to trade out the 930 for that to happen, but for now I'm still smitten with my 930.

Also, might get more traction for a 997 trade over on 6speedonline.com

She is obviously a highly intelligent, and acutely perceptive woman, Norm!!! :D

PS - would this be "forgiving" enough for you?!?!

Damn thread-hijackin` mofoes anyway!

JacobS911 04-20-2015 02:16 PM

Back on topic.

Yes, I think you could make that trade. There is no doubt a 930 guy that updated to a 997 and now want's to get back in a 930. But outright sale might be quicker and then you have better options on which 997 you can pick up.

Same here, My wife feels the same way, and I know exactly how you feel. I've been looking at 348's, trying to keep the 930, we'll see.....

sorry for off topic....
