Aluminum bonnet factory 964 RS -- whats it worth these days?

Have had one for about 15 years now. Bought it off a guy who was/is a coach builder in Japan on Porsche. He bought a bran spankin 964 RS in the day and turned it into a race car. The bonnet he had in storage came to me for a price in the day and it was blue. I had it repainted when I had my (Yellowbirdish) Rufized Porsche fully resprayed back then (same Ruf yellow). Now it is RuF yellow and still in immaculate condition.

I don`t know if I will get this car together finally very soon, and I have other more urgent Porsche project in the pipe. Wondered it I might sell it to finance the current project.

Thanks all for any insights you might have.

Bernard

Bernard,

Don't what these are worth in Japan- these sell for $3-3.5k in states. A RS steering wheel just sold for $7k on German ebay so maybe prices are on the move.

Thanks Phil for that. Japan is a bit of a dead market for Porsche if you ask me. From a decade or more ago, people just don`t have the appetite for the early cars. Lot`s of rich people drive new ones, but the classics are becoming more and more absent. I guess it would cost a couple of hundred dollars to ship to the States. Small price to pay.
