The machine shop that did my valve job designed the cuts on a flow bench and they adjusted the cam timing during reassembly. I was told it should have the same power as an early SC.

CountD has almost the same story as mine. I have a 75 with 70k miles it sat for 20 years before I bought it and its sat another 10 since. I got it, rebuilt the fuel and brake systems pulled and resealed the engine , got it running to find the valve guides were bad. My original owner must not have known they were bad but he stopped driving it in 82 for some reason. SCs aren't as reliable as they used to be. Now I hear of more SC owners with broken head studs than midyear owners with pulled head studs.

To close the loop on this story I ended up buying a 964 C2 instead and my family member sold his 1975 911S to Beverly Hills Car Club and shipped out to California. It's currently for sale for $27.5k and can be found here: 1975 Porsche 911S Coupe -

In the end it is the best scenario. I'm happy with my new car and the 911S will go to a good home. Thanks for everyone's input and opinions.
