THIS is worth a restoration - oldest production 911 found

Earliest "Production" 911 In Existence Found Hidden In Plain Sight - @FlatSixes - the blog about Porsche

Pretty modded up right now, but a full restoration - or as close as possible - I think would probably pay off in spades.

That story unfolded last month on Early 911S Registry.

Remarkable.

Hiding in plain site; Oldest 911 in USA? Historian help please.

That's not the first 901/early 232 (that someone has seen fit to 'modify'). It's only been a short time since their value has sky-rocketed, so people didn't think twice about bastardizing them back then.

Cool find, though. I think that brings the number of known still in existence up to 61 or 62. Another one surfaced on ebay a couple of years ago. It was missing the original motor, but someone in the 232 Registry had the original. Not sure how things panned-out though.

There's probably some other ones still sitting under covers in garages around the world

Yes, they are all around the world. Some in our own back yard.
