Online auctions for repairables?
It seems to me there are a lot of guys bidding on 911 wrecks online. I was wondering the groups experience in buying a wreck and fixing it up. I have a 1988 cab 911 convertible looking for a 2000 to 2004 convertible. Stay away from front end crashes?. Flood items? Don't bother with my time just cough up the extra dough and go driving? Is the estimated for repair cost on the cites accurate or a bunch a bull. Just would like someone's thought and experiences

I would say that if you're after a 996 cabrio, just buy a nice one and go driving. They seem to sell mostly in the mid-to-high twenties and the delta between buying and repairing a wreck and simply starting with a good one can't be huge. You could even end up upside down in your salvage car after fixing it up.
Good luck. d.
