Interesting how the fender is so crumpled and the glass and wheels are untouched...

My gut tells me it's quite a bit more than a flesh wound

^^ i agree with this, i can't imagine its just the quarter that needs replacing.

The damage is not likely impacting the tub, but I would bet that the banana arm needs replaced. My car had the rear quarter replaced somewhere in it's past. It took me several years to sort the issue because the banana arm looked fine, but the hub end of the arm was bent by about two degrees which created issues that seemed like there was a problem at the spring plate mounting.

I have read that there's a factory jig to test swing arms, but as you can imagine there are probably about five in the U.S. - good luck finding one close by. In the end, I took a gamble and swapped the swing arm, and that fixed the issue. I took before and after measurements of the wheel camber which is why I am confident it was bent, plus my problem was fixed.
