What they don't like is the seller glossing the car as a 71S when it is a backdated 74. As someone mentions, there isn't much about this that says 71S except the badge.

I like this car. Looks like a good backdate.

My only problem with cars like this are when owners put incorrect badging on them. Whether it is 911S badges, Carrera RS graphics or Turbo badges on Non-turbos, I couldn't drive something that represents itself as something that it is not.

I'd gladly buy this car, cut off the 's' badge and proudly show it for what it is....a well done backdated 911.

Agree with Colb. I reiterate that I like this car. I don't like the cheesy marketing. Would it keep me from buying it? No. Would it make me ready to deal with some asshattery regarding the salesman? Absolutely.

Yup. Another, more subtle, version of lying to sell a car. It might be a great backdate, but it's still a '74, and not worth the asking price.
