Value of a 914 2.0L motor

Hi All,

I have a extra 2.0L 914 motor that I want to sell. It's a complete long block that turns freely. I would sell it as a core because I did a leak down and at the very least it will need a valve job.

Also, i have a set of two liter heads, one is good and the other is not so good.

These are extras that came with a car I bought sometime ago. The car is long gone.

Thoughts on price?

Best,
Ed

2.0 prices

I've been putting together a 2.0

Complete freshly rebuilt engines with knockoff webers tend to ask $4500, don't easily sell, or at all.

I've recently purchased:

Fresh rebuilt 2.0 heads on ebay with receipt for $590 in work from Rimco $750

2.0 case, crank and rods, all original spec $350

New AA 2056 pistons and cyl $238

All the above prices were shipped to my door.

2.0 case only, I had to pick up $50

My guess is maybe $800-1000 for your long block $4-500 for the heads.

Less if you want to sell quickly.
