More like 8 years. That thread was in 2007. Back in the 90's we used to say that all early Porsches were $20000 cars, meaning purchase plus refurbish would equal that as a minimum. You could buy almost any long hood T for less than 20K in that era.

Either way kind of funny when comments of 35K for an MFI 74 carrera and now they are (although probably not getting it) asking 10 x that price.

and yes I remember the 10K 73T and a $3,500 3.2 motronic to have an instant very cool hot rod for not much money.

That's weird, I could have sworn that Porsches have always been expensive and the recent price surges won't at all change the face of the owners community. :confused:
