Because I can't figure this to be anything but a joke.

Seller answered. Seems legit.

He has priced it way too low so told him that he should pump it up.

Last night it had neither price nor year. Guess it's real, just a really really bad ad!

What should the price be for this car? Probably the Gulf Blue is what makes it valuable..

It appeared on CL locally a day or two before he posted it here with a 25k asking price.

This has been in Stockton, CA CL for months. If it was solid, I would think it would be gone by now...

Hmm then probably a scam. Seller wrote that he got it fron his dad and sounded very interested in my advice even though I am no buyer.

He sounds young. It's written like a Honda Civic ad.

this is all so funny. The car is not what is written on the ad or it was written at night with sunglass on. My hood and I have seen the car in person. GLWS...lots of bumps.

I am glad that I am not searching for old Porsches right now. Boy, has the Porsche interested public become a mixed crowd to put it nicely. Oh the good old 80's......

I know, right? Why can't all these new people just go back to Mercedes-Benz?

Opels in Texas? Crazy stuff! O dont even know what your last sentence means, but I assume that it is soemething nasty.

This is waht I drove in the 80īs. Was pretty amazed when I saw the money they bring now. Mine is pretty rough, but will be a nice project for me and my sons.

^^^

Christian, can that thing outrun your 912 (probably)?

My Opels never made it to TexASS - I had those when I lived in South Dakota and Nebraska.

And believe it or not, that last sentence is pure (no nasty there). I'll interpret it for my crazy Dane reader - To "cut one's teeth" means that was when you began to learn how to do something (like a baby getting it's first set of teeth - "new" in other words), and "steeds" are horses, which is sometimes used to refer to machines like cars and motorcycles. Soooooo, that sentence means that I did some of my first "learning" about auto mechanics and body repair on those two cars.

You're welcome.

Ha ha, it sure sounds like the 912 it has a 3hp aircooled lawnmover engine.

Thanks for the English lesson.
