1995 993 Coupe - respray or leave as is to sell?

I am thinking about selling my '95 993, polar silver coupe with 93k miles on it. I bought the car about 2 years ago from the original owner who bought it via a factory program so has the German plates, all documentation, records, etc. The car has been here in Southern California all it's life however spent a number of years in Palm Springs and the clear coat has suffered. There are a couple of other minor imperfections including some touch up paint, 2 tiny dings, paint peeling on the wheels, etc. I am trying to decide whether I should go to the expense of getting it painted or just sell it as-is; so would really appreciate any thoughts on what the delta in value might be in it's original (but imperfect) condition.

Cheers,

Rob

leave it and sell it...
price will be lower since you don't have to repaint it, next buyer can decided what to do.
btw, is it 6spd,
if so, I am interested, please pm me.

Is the car nearly perfect otherwise? If so, I'd strongly consider a respray and cleaning up the wheels.

Where is the clear coat peeling? Top surfaces, or all over? If it is the top surfaces, have a body shop wet sand and shoot clear. There are even some detailers that are able to do that.

The clear coat is not really peeling on the body as much as deteriorating and becoming visible. The areas it occurs on are around the windscreen, hood, front wings and doors, almost like a car that has been through a cheap car wash too many times - who knows - maybe it has. It's only in a few areas, not all over. The car was well taken care of but as the photos show, too much jewelry and heels may be culprit for the other areas needing attention. You know I didn't realize that the clear coat could be salvaged - that might be the best solution.

Jturbo3.6; it is a 6spd, will let you know once I've figured out I'm doing.

Appreciate the feedback.

Rob

Take it to a detailer and ask about paint correction. A good detailer should be able to make most of that disappear. Not sure if they do wheels, but it's worth a shot.

I have a 95 C2 coupe Polar silver that has been resprayed for that reason and now for sale. WPOZZZ has given you good advise then sell it "AS IS". Repaint it if you want to keep it and have proper documentations and photos of before, in process and after of the paint job.
