Funny thing about having a real slant is everyone assumes it's fake....

Nobody cared about slants until the rising tide lifted all boats. I would rather have a 934 or Iroc inspired ride. 5 years ago slants were still gold chain, coke snorting pimp rods. Real 935, DP or Kremer (some) might get my interest.

I never lost interest in slants. I just never had enough money for one...

But I never understood a slant cab or even a targa. It's gotta be a coupe.

Not much action on it at that price. Lots of non factory pieces.

I agree. This type of Porsche design chicanery loosely based on some sort of racing car heritage is an acquired (if it ever is) taste.

This car in the 1980s is responsible for more mid years, long hoods, and the rest being fashioned into home-made disco-sledded renditions of it, for no apparent reason except for the lack of dignity and taste.

I knew of a guy in my town who had a black one in 1988. I always looked at it with scorn and disdain, and would have rather driven my bosses 1967 912 any day of the week.

To me, it's not worth more than $22.5K

Uglier than the Panamera or the Macan? What about the 4-door 911 barf machine from early on (guess that was a concept car though, right)? And how about the 924?

Yes, I would say it is right there with those, except it has the "look at me, I look like a race car" but of course it is not.

I think that all 911 Turbos/930s have that look, regardless of traditional or slanted front fenders and quarter slats, boxed rockers, etc. and consider that part of their charm -interesting differences in opinion, regardless.

930's were built to comply with homologation rules and were a factor built street car to do that, impressive. Not trying to be anything else, iconic and groundbreaking.
A slant nose 930 is well a 930 that wants to look like a 935, but of course it is not. A "look", nothing more than style for style sake and not 'form follows function' Just not my thing.
Which is OK, we all like different stuff.

Agreed. But, MAYBE..... with some awesome bumper and rocker mods it might be a good look.

I bet the slats above the headlights were not just there for style.

Have you ever driven one? A real 930s? I'm sure your opinion would not be the same.
I suppose the "RS, RSR, RSRSR etc" tributes get free passes...lol....

I really don't understand the slant hate...I guess it's the same vain as the targa, cab, middies, blah, blah, blah haters ...lol....

So is the oil cooler neatly tucked away in the right rear fender vent that 99% of the "Conversions" do not have.
