Koni Red Special struts 69-73

Can anyone give me a price range idea on these koni struts? Date stamp 14-69 with Porsche genuine stamp. Part number 90134107910. These are cores - meaning they will need a full resto. Check out the fine print in pics - perhaps country patent numbers?

Looking for a value idea for pair of front koni red struts, cores.

Thanks to all

Used struts are great investments especially if they add something significant to their new car. These Konis are great "S" config. pieces and period correct "outlaw" 911 upgrades that will take adjustable Koni inserts and bigger brake caliper setups.

The key element in any used struts value comes down to a couple points: 1. Are they straight so the car will align correctly and 2. Are the spindles worn to the point there may be a bearing issue.

I like building, installing and selling 911 and 914 front strut / brake packages and have been doing this for about 15 years. Struts can be bent to the point a correct alignment is not possible and it may be impossible to "see" anything wrong with the strut. About 40% of the struts sets I buy from dismantelers and fellow Porsche people have issues that the seller is not aware of.

If you can get the struts checked in a factory jig (see below) and the inner and outer bearing surfaces are not too worn, a good set of "core" Koni struts like pictured have a market value of $300 to $400 a piece. They are not yet rare enough to draw big $$$ so finding the right buyer is key. 911 S registry would be a good place to advertise these.

Good luck with the sale!

Thank you A914guy for the info - much appreciated. I bought them as a possible replacement for my Leda remote reservoir struts - bringing a track car back too street. I am sending a pm regarding services.

They make a nice street upgrade with the externally adjustable Sport Koni insert. More importantly they can accept S alloy calipers or newer Brembo four piston calipers which REALLY improve stopping. Both calipers will fit under 6X15" Fuchs alloys.

If you need help checking them out I'll be happy to help or point you in the right direction.
