1965 911 #303060 - Think we'll see this one again?

This is my new favorite "project" listing. Thought I'd list the VIN in case it shows up on another car down the road.

That said, for anyone looking for the "very desirable Irish green" I'm sure it can be saved with just a little work

Maybe they were hoping to learn the factory had been looking for that car for the museum

Yeah - I noted the 66/06 build date on the ID tag. Wonder if the COA is accurate - or if it even exists.

Take a look at some of the other gems that dealer has for sale. How does one specialize in rare basket cases? Especially with BHCC always on the lookout?

it "was" a December 1965 built 911 , the Vin is in the range

there was another similar VIN that was a December 1965 built car that sold on ebay last week

so whats the angle on this sort of thing? Obviously there is nothing salvageable about the car. Do people use the vin to register other cars with less desirable build spec? It must be pretty difficult to transfer a vin to another car that dosent make it plainly obvious its a scam?

I have always been a bit curious about who buys cars like this, but cant quite figure it out. To me that car should have a value well into the negatives.

I hate this kind of stupid games, it is not even 65 as noted by Fubawu it is a 66 car and should be advertised as such.
False advertising and of course it is a POS!

My friend restored a 65 sold at Gooding for $280k there is no way this car can be brought back to life and make it worth anyone's time. I know of several tubs in near rust free condition getting ready to be restored. It would make more sense to pay $70k for a better tub than waste your time on this.
