930 75/77 78/79 89
Watching the market and seems the 75/79 930s are pulling away from the 89 G50 cars. Obviously the 75/77 are the top but the 78/79 do nearly as well at auction. Seems early cars 75/79 are more interesting to collectors than a G50 transmission. If anyone has more insight speak up. For nearly 20 years the 1989 G50 930 was the Grail of 930s. Seems no more.

Not surprising that collectors are not concerned with actual machine performance. Like Brian B mentioned in the "sales" thread, those guys would likely be just as satisfied if the car had a wooden engine and gearbox in it, as long as the color and option codes were correct.

I think you have me confused with Christian. Those Danes have certain green manufacturing controls and would make something out of wood that we would just have injection molded in China...

G50 was the feature to have when they were being bought as drivers.

That sounds wrong (or right, depending on yer perspective)!
912s' have engines?! I thought they were Fred Flintstone powered ("powered" used loosely here, of course)! |
