Wheel indentification - 73 Fuchs
These wheels are not stock on my 68s. Im told where installed in 73 as part of a wide body mod. It was done in So Cal. This is the front wheel part number : 911 331 020. 03
it's a 9j x 15. The rears are wider. I can't find a date code. They look cool. Any ideas . Are they "real"? It's 911.361.020.03 , 9x15 , 3mm offset.
There would be a date stamp on the outer ring of the center hub, between the lug holes. Take a picture of that next. I have a .02 8x15 that may be for an ST (dated 3/71) that am trying to pair up with another. Want to sell the 9's? |
I rechecked, the date code is 7/73. The car was done by "the shop that worked on the first IROC Porsches". - I wonder if that was Vasek ?
To my misfortune - I happily own the car, but I don't have documents. The prev. Owner tells me and I believe him. He owned it since 71. No papers ... |
Does that have the RSR satin finish?
|
The rears may be 15x11, 911.361.020.05, 46mm offset or something close to it. If not, they may be weld-ups. Never seen fake 15x11. Looks like RSR satin finish to my eye. Nice wheels.
|
They are satin finish. The outer lip is polished. At the time, would the company that did the bodywork have bought these rims from the local SoCal Porsche dealer ? He said bodywork was done in 73 and the rims are 7/73.
