I'll take a guess and say maybe $7-$8K as it sits... You will do better parting it out, not much but motor trans is worth about what the roller is worth so if you are trying to get top dollar part it out.
Sucks. J

If the inside stayed dry then fixing the roof is not a big deal ,
did the insurance company total it so it now has a salvage title ?

Hell, I'd get in the thing and drive it around the block, see how it shifts, runs, stops. Then I'd take some pics and bring them to my friendly body shop for a guesstimate. I'm betting less than $7-10K, but I have no idea. Towing it to a shop for a PPI wouldn't be out of the question either. Also, check for the salvage title label....hurts value considerably.
Then I'd subtract that number, plus another $5k, from a normal 3.2 coupe price and make an offer. With the prices of these cars these days, there could be a lot of wiggle room. It's a $35k-40k car undamaged. Subtract repairs and there you have your number.

Add up the bits..
Most any decent complete SC/Carrera tub with the engine/transmission is worth at least $10k these days.
3.2 engine core to runs fair = $3.5k-$4K 915 = $1k-$2k (core to shifts o.k.) Bilstein suspension = $1k (Boge 1/2 that) Fuchs = $1k (6"/7") Repairable tub = $1.5k Other bits=$2k With the appreciation these cars have seen in the past few years you could possibly make a bit of coin if the engine & transmission are in decent shape and you can get the roof repaired somewhat reasonably. It looks like it needs paint anyway, so a few thousand to acquire and patch in a roof section should not be an exorbitant expense. I would take before/after photos and be up front about the repairs. A tree falling on the roof probably is not as bad as a similar hit to the front/back or sides, but a salvage title will hurt the resale value. If you want a decent driver on the cheap this may not matter, but if you plan on a flip it may not be profitable. The days of core 915's and Bilstein front ends going for $500.00 is over. Core 3.0/3.2's don't sell for $2k anymore. 915's, front ends, and core 3.0/3.2's don't pop up nearly as often as they used to at any price... |

What they said.
People are throwing out stupid low numbers. If iever see another $4000 3.2 core I'll buy it. Those days are so long gone.
