Whats My 930 Roller Worth.....

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444867897.jpg

85 930 Guards Red/Black with red piping. I believe the paint to be original with no body work in excellent condition. Same with the interior. Very Clean. Only missing engine and trans and rear sway bar. Everything else is there. Except for the Ruf parts completely stock. Car has some Ruf parts and what looks like a Ruf number stamped on one of the ID plates. Ruf Speedline wheels. Was thinking about keeping the wheels for another project. 60K Miles

So what do you guys think its worth? Just want to get an idea. Thx

Matt Monson 10-14-2015 04:38 PM

With that bodywork the paint is far from original.

Who did the bodywork? Steel or glass? Receipts or just speculation?

Beachbum 10-14-2015 04:50 PM

All Metal....With the Ruf parts on the car I assumed Ruf America did the rockers and the strakes. Just speculation though. I really have no idea. Maybe I should have said 95% original paint.

Regardless, not enough pictures of details to value it. Could be $5999, could be $59,999

matt930s 10-14-2015 04:58 PM

There were 930s's with the slant nose delete that retained the slats.

Need to get more info (m505?)....should be a options sticker somewhere in the frunk...

If you are willing to sell anywhere near $6000... You let me know...

You have some value in the Ruf stuff, but without the motor and tranny the value plummets considerably. My guess, $12-15k....if it's a m505 car....if the parts are conversion, take few grand off that.

There is what looks like an original sticker with the Vin and a bunch of other numbers towards the front on the underside of the front hood. No M505 number. Ill try to get a pic tomorrow. Thx much guys.

Earth to Matt, Earth to Matt, I may not know what the car is worth but I know its worth way more the that. I sold my fiberglass 78SC roller for more than that. And it was half the car this is.

matt930s 10-14-2015 05:33 PM

Wtf is up with that? You asked for opinions but provided no data. If you don't agree put it up for sale and let the market speak.

You could put a tired 400k miles smokey SC engine in it and turn it into one of those Sheepers that are becoming popular lately

timchar 10-14-2015 05:51 PM

There's a 930 roller on here for 29k, it's not moving anytime soon. As it sits, I would say 20-25. Let's say it goes for 25k, by the time someone puts in correct motor and transmission, now you're at 50k, you can get a higher mileage matching numbers for another 15-20k. Tim

Beachbum, the 12-15k possibly minus a few thousand sounds right on the mark:rolleyes:. I'll take 2 if you've got them at that price.

Post more photos and history. Photo of any Ruf documentation or markings. Whos front spoiler? Interior photos?

You need to read and comprehend. Minus a few thousand if it's a conversion. 12-15k for a quick sale. Go to $20k if you want to wait a while for it sell. At $25k...enjoy your garage art...

Again, for your benefit, that is based on the info (lack of) provided....

Still no pictures with vin stickers or Ruf numbers. Could be an '85 Carrera for all we know...

And no interior or chassis shots. Maybe some guys are madly PMing the OP to try to make a deal. But if one wants to publicly discuss the value of a car, nobody assumes anything in your favor without details to back up the claims. Some of Ruf's centers over the years in this country would be a detriment the value, not an improvement.

Beachbum 10-14-2015 06:47 PM

85 Carrera's have a Carrera 911 Vin. Like I said this has a 930 Vin. More pics tomorrow.

No rust, Everything works, Ruf 17 inch wheels with almost new tires. All body seams perfect. One of the local Porsche guys offered me 5K for the wheels and tires so I know they are pretty much unabtainium at this point. Thx again to the experts.

Beachbum 10-15-2015 02:08 PM

Stamped at the bottom of the data plate on the right inside wall of the trunk is R-0882

That is a nice car. Too bad it doesn't have the motor and trans. What Ruf bits are on the car, other than the wheels? Do your wheels have a square "divot" for the valve stem or just the cutout? It should also have RUF Speedline, diameter, width and ET in the casting. These would be visible on the wheel face.
