Porsche withdrawl emergency !!

Hi, I'm in Mahhattan,NYC for just one more day, I live in Canada. I have the wife off shopping, thus the free day. Does anybody have a few old cars to show off ? I'll travel an hour or more just to see what the P Car scene is about here.

Example : If I can't visit a fellow collector, then does anyone know the address of Max Hoffmans original dealership ? I heard it was a Benz dealership now ? I'll just stand longingly on the sidewalk. Lol

I'll certainly return the favor should anyone come slumming to Alberta,Ca.

There is one Benz dealership in manhattan, it's a shiny fancy new building on 11th avenue in the area where all car dealerships are clustered. I'd be surprised if that were the old hoffman location...

There's a very well known repair shop in Elmsford, NY, just north of Manhattan called Rennwerke. The owner's name is Cheech. Good luck getting him on the phone!

However, they usually have some amazing Porsches on site for repair. You name it, I've seen it there at one time or the other. RS', 959's, Rare 356's, Cup Cars, Turbos a plenty. I'm guessing there are 60-80 cars at any given time.

A walk around the yard might ease your pain. I'm always stunned by what I see there. They're nice enough. Just explain why your there and you shouldn't have any problems. These are the only cars they work on.
